Family Day! Group Study? SOGO for the win!

I don’t know what to say but it catches my attention.

This one is very funny print ad I’ve ever seen. Seriously, I really can’t stop laughing with all the crazy stuff that’s been coming out in Sogo Hotel’s Facebook fan page. I mean no offense to the marketing team developing the content that’s being released but they are actually funny.

So what’s really interesting here is the approach. People might think that it’s too dumb but it’s actually great, at least in small amounts.

"Ito ay para sa paborito kong apo... si Karen.."

DURATION: 45’s
PRODUCT: McDonalds
DATE: October 26, 2001

Among the many TV commercials in the Philippines that are produced, this TV commercial really touched the hearts of the viewers including myself.

I must say that this TV Commercial is very effective as a “marketing advertisement” because of its commercials’ approach. It targets the viewers’ emotions and it makes the mind remember every single word in the commercial for a long time.

It also implies to the viewers to love and respect our grandmothers and grandfathers. Because they are old so we should take care of them and understand their situation. We must be patient with their actions because not everything in this world is permanent so we must love them and make them feel loved.

"Smile ka din..... Konti Lang...."

DURATION: 30’s TVC
PRODUCT: McDonalds
DATE: 2013

This old commercial of McDonalds' has gained popularity.

Kuya Paolo Pingo is the main character for this commercial. Which I must say that caught the attention of many viewers as to how to react appropriately to the commercial.

This commercial was very touching indeed. Well, the intention was to indeed create a discussion among the people who will watch it for the first time, and share the experience among friends and classmates.

Out from that commercial there are memes became viral (as with other popular topics online). In majority, these memes were not designed for the purpose of attacking the commercial or even the lead characters portraying the roles of brothers.

It was appealing and it is really cute as many tried to create their own version of giving out just the right "Konti Lang" smile.
If I am not mistaken Kuya Paolo Pingo already had an invite for a TV show guesting in Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho.

This TV Commercial of McDonald’s really offers something unique that only the people behind the McDonalds TVC were able to present so charmingly possible.

Kudos to the creators of the TVC, and more power to Kuya Paolo!

ALL KINDS OF LOVE

Edsa Billboard promotes gender equality. A billboard promoting gender equality by Bench, a Philippine clothing brand celebrating “all kinds of love”.

The Bench campaign has earned the respect of netizens for its “bold” move that they said could “change the game of advertising.”

It went viral to Social Media websites and talks on different TV Networks. Which means it attracts the people to the advertisement of the product.

I think the advertisers had their hard time to fully come up with this Advertisement that gives the audience a big punch to attract them.

Bench still deserves an honor for this billboard which recognizes the LGBT community.

The thing is, this is totally one of the best Billboards I’ve ever seen. It can only explain and give one thing or meaning that this is the right time to open up your minds and accept the fact that love is for everyone! Don't be too selfish!

Coke (The Coke Beat Philippine TV Ad 2003)

DURATION: TVC 25’s
PRODUCT: Coke
DATE: 2003

Who wouldn’t forget this jingle song?
“ito ang beat sabay sabay, ito ang beat bawal sablay, pabilis ng pabilis , wag mag mimis wag mag mimix, gets mona? gets kona! ang ahh....”

COCA COLA!
According to the research, Coca cola is a company that has produced soft drinks since 1886, and in the advert from the 50’s the original Coca Cola-drink is presented.
So I could probably say that this TV Commercial hits the Philippine TV screen.

Why? I guess it’s because of the jingle. In my observation, doing a jingle is one way of calling the attention of the consumers or buyers to purchase the said product because they have something to remember. When I watched the Commercial way back then, I was entertained to it, and it also attached me to the product itself, and maybe because it is the reason to encourage more consumers to try and buy the said product.
I once tried hard to memorize the song and the lyrics including the steps of the hands.
Actually, I think most of the people back then were trying really hard to do the same thing which I believe attracted almost everyone. People tried memorizing and singing the jingle and I guess this made the commercial its “main attraction”.  When it comes to the exposure of the product, they placed the Coke bottle between the two girls in the table. Positioning the product is also very important.

To the Ad Agency or to whoever came up with this TV Commercial I must say that you are all very intelligent for making this TVC hits the Philippine TV. From the concept, jingle, positioning of the product and its purpose you made it all well.

OLD COMMERCIAL: FITA (Isang Kahilingan)

DURATION: 30secs.
PRODUCT: FITA
DATE: 2004

Do you still remember this Philippine TV Commercial? When a guy was eating his last piece of Fita? Then a cute little girl sitting beside him asked for a Fita but then he didn’t share it. On the other side an old woman asked for one and then when he gets guilty he had no choice but to share the half of it. Suddenly, the old woman turns into a Fairy God Mother and asked for his one wish. The guy wished for a red sports car. Since he only gave the half of Fita, the Fairy God Mother gave him the half of the car too. Funny? Isn’t?
I believe that funny commercials usually have the advantage of catching the attention of the people/consumers to buy their products. Since this one is a excellent kind of TV Commercial I even got involved to buy Fita way back then (but I still buy Fita) because it really tastes good.

In my own opinion, promoting does not always means that telling the viewers to buy the product/s but also to entertain them and give them an impact so that they would not forget the product/s that being advertise.
Besides, they have this thoughtful of style in which everyone can’t get enough out of it.
